For a week during the summer the house was full of hungry teenagers enjoying the lake; and as all kids are-they had only one food item on their mind for that week; which happened to be french toast. So every day for five days I made a different variation on an old stand by. This was one of the favorites and is great as a dessert or a warm up breakfast on a chilly Sunday morning.

Instructions
  1. Throw a pat of butter into a sauté pan or turn on your griddle and spray with Pam.
  2. Crack the eggs into the almond milk, add the vanilla and cinnamon and whisk together.
  3. Dip your bread into the mixture and throw in hot pan or griddle. I like to do the pieces one at a time so the bread does not get too soggy while you cook.
  4. cook each side for 2 minutes or so, until you smell "french toast" cooking in your home, flip and cook a few minutes.
  5. Once the toast is cooked, cut the crusts off (or keep them) and slice into whatever shape you are feeling that day...I like to do long french toast sticks or triangles but whatever floats your boat....stack up on a plate and top with bananas.
  6. Sprinkle the powdered sugar over your stack and then zig zag the chocolate and maple syrup over the toast. Place whip cream on top or along side. Dust with cinnamon and serve!
